Law Firm Website Development

Does A Web Site Matter To A Law Firm?

Lawyer Website Design Development

For most people, your law firm’s web site is not only your  first impression, it’s usually the only one. Sure, some people will see your billboard, or hear your radio ad first then come to your website, but the overall effect is the same. It’s amazing to me that the single most important marketing asset your law firm has—it’s website—is oftentimes the most overlooked aspect of the company. The truth is, your website is the most important marketing tool you have. Your web site tells everything about you, including:

  • Providing valuable information
  • Telling your story
  • Introducing you to your potential clients
  • Establishing credibility
  • Building trust, authority, and familiarity

Law Firm Website Development: Your Site Might Be Hurting You

If your saying to yourself right now that your website doesn’t tell your whole story, let me assure you that you’re wrong. And this is what you need to understand. Your website does say everything about you. And for the great majority of law firms out there, the story is woefully incomplete.

All the information a prospective client needs—from first impression to signing up for a free consultation (which you should be offering on every page)—needs to included on your law firm web site. It must entice the client, entertain them, impress them, instill confidence, establish your firm’s credentials, and—most importantly—get them to take action. If not, your firm is leaving substantial business on the table.

Law Firm Website Development: What your Law Firm Needs to do.

First things first: what is the real state of your site right now? Be brutally honest. Assess your site as though you were a client and not a lawyer. Does the site impress you? Educate you? Does it establish credibility and trust?

Most importantly, does it address your specific problems, and offer an immediate solution to that problem? If you can’t answer yes to all these issues, you must take action. These days, consumers expect all these things from a website. And rest assured they will be able to find it somewhere on the web. The only question is whether it is on your site, or your competitors.
